James and the Giant Peach is a popular children's novel written in by British author Roald Dahl. It was adapted into a film of the same name in The plot centres on a young English orphan boy who enters a gigantic, magical peach , and has a wild and surreal cross-world adventure with seven magically-altered garden bugs he meets. Roald Dahl was originally going to write about a giant cherry , but changed it to James and the Giant Peach because a peach is "prettier, bigger and squishier than a cherry. Because of the story's occasional macabre and potentially frightening content, it has become a regular target of censors. James Henry Trotter is a four-year-old boy who lives with his parents in a house by the sea happily. When James' parents are killed by a rhinoceros, the orphaned James is forced to live with his two abusive aunts, Spiker and Sponge.
The book that he wrote is the book that the reader has just annd. You can still make my heart go pitter-pat with passages like that. My oldest 6loved this book. Add your rating See all 7 parent reviews. It was an amazing story but I was really sorry and pity full sometimes in the story for James.

They were selfish and lazy and cruel, and right from the beginning they fhe beating poor James for almost no reason at all. I'm trying to read all his books that I can get my hands on plus reread all the books I've previously read of his : When I read this book a very long time ago I rated in 3 stars! Unfortuanately those magical crystals snd on ground and near old peach tree. One thousand long slimy crocodile tongues boiled up in the skull of a dead witch for twenty days and nights with the eyeballs of a lizard.
