Her determination to help animals was incredibly heartwarming. It is about a girl whose mom lives in honderous and dad stays with her. The little ones do like the repetition which is why a really good picture book is GOLD but the older ones enjoy a real variety. Gaby volunteers at the local animal hospital with her fellow classmates.

Providing a happy ending to this story in where Gaby and her mom are reunited would have been a beautiful and heartwarming ending.
