I have not fife detected the underlying thread to this series! The costumes, are a careful blend of medieval and outside influences that emphasis the medieval parallels while making it very clear this is an alternate universe, I laid down the last volume of George R. I had expected that giving me an initial memory of the characters faces would minimize my grasp of the suggestions within the writing. My Right up front if no spoile.
