    English literature is literahure not so much insular as detached from the continental European tradition across the Channel! I couldn't find it in the details anywhere when I bought this, this is the 3 volume hardcover edition Could you suggest me a good book on the history of English Literature. This book will not bore you; this book will not teach you more than what is required.
